How many steering wheel turns from lock to lock?
Hey guys,
Can anyone tell me how many turns the steering wheel would/should make from lock to lock?
Stupid someone, as I undid my steering rack from the coumn, the steering lock had a key in it so it didn't lock up. And some other person played around with it. I want to make sure I don't knacker the clock spring for the airbag and controls. So I need to know how many turns so I can remove my steering wheel, feel how far the clockwise spring can turn in both directional to make sure I center it properly.
Cheers
Damien

I went out and mine measured 1.375 (1 3/8) from center (12:00 using a piecd of electrical tape TDC) to L (7:00'ish) and to R (4:00'ish) and matched what grandell posted regarding stop to stop, 2.75, which astonishingly is 1.375 x 2
