well.......... I am giving up! I can not narrow down this window security issue. So would you replace the ddm first? Or slcm? Very frustrating!!!

 

I vote SCLM after reading your whole thread. I have one in my 01 XJ8L parts car I am removing soon to sell. I wonder what years are compatible though, considering key fobs in 01+ models are different. Does anyone know if the VIN has to be programmed into this part for proper operation and what years fit? Does the SCLM handle the keyless entry function? Thanks

Can you tell me the part number on the slcm itself? And the mhz of the system? Also in the trunk there is a vcats label on the left rear under the carpet under the cd changer and it will say sclm and have a code. I can tell by that if it would work or not. Also do you have key fobs??
