Was $101.15 last time I ordered 3-2014.

I was unwilling to take a chance on cheaper aftermarket coils.
I'm thinking that there is, due to warranty issues, a bit better QC going on when you do buy OEM parts vice COTS.

Yes, they may be produced on the same assembly line. But, I'm pretty sure that the go/no-go checks performed on the finished product that will have a major manufacturer label on it vice a store or white box is just a bit different.

Maybe I'm wrong. My own experience is that buying off brand is a crap shoot sometimes (unless the non-OEM is a major manufacturer, and not just a contract production house.)

YMMV, etc.

I have replaced 6 of 8 coils on my 2000 XJ8 over the past 10 years...always using genuine Jaguar coil.

The #s are the same on each original coil I remove & the new ones:

DENSO SPAIN
XW93-12029-AB

MB099700-0260

12V
I used to buy from Gaudin Jaguar, but out of business.

Last year I bought from SNG Barratt & long delay b4 shipped.
Now listed for $105.46 (not including 10% Forum Discount)but says 5-7 days lead time, sigh.

I'm shopping around trying to find a reasonable price somewhere. Dealers charge $177-$186+ & Jagbits $153+

I wish I could order a Denso from somewhere & gets verification that those #s are the same, regardless of whether they have it listed as fitting Jaguar XJ8.

I miss Gaudin Jaguar!

Believe it or not our aftermarket coils work perfectly and last just as long if not longer than the OEM Jaguar brand I sell them here for $89.95 each:
https://www.jagbits.com/product/LNE1510AB-X.html

I strongly recommend them, I have been selling them for many years and I have them in my car.

The coils for the M5 E60 are different from the coils for other BMW models, such as the 3 series. While coils for different models may have similar functions and reach similar engine temperatures, the coils for the M5 E60 are designed specifically for the high-performance engine in that vehicle.

When it comes to purchasing replacement coils, it's important to consider the quality and durability of the product. Cheaper Chinese coils may be less expensive, but they may not be as reliable or long-lasting as OEM or higher-quality aftermarket coils. It's also worth noting that many of these cheap Chinese coils are not manufactured to the same standards as OEM or higher-quality aftermarket coils.

Even OEM coils straight out of the box sometimes have issues, I have found.
Howevere, OEM is the preferred path and it is good to keep them all the same.
