Ignition fault p0353 2000 XJ8
Hi there,
wondering if anyone can give me some help with this error.
I Believe its for a bad coil on cylinder 3.
I have replaced the plug and the coil for this cylinder.
I still get p0353. I then switch the plug and coil with cylinder 1.
Still got p0353. Usually the car runs perfect for the first drive then goes to restricted performance after parking.
At this point I think it might be the ignition wiring, have checked it but can't see any cuts etc... and dealer tells me it $1300 for the wiring harness.
Any suggestions as to what i should do?
Anyone had a similar problem and solved it?

Which #3 cylinder did you change, A bank or B bank?
Jaguar's P0353 is A3, the third back, on the right bank (sitting in the driver seat). Your 1/3 comment could be interpreted that you swapped the A1 with the A2 if you are thinking of the more standard 1357/2468 layout.

Well its been a day and the car is purring still. No new codes.
Thank you so much for fiinding the obvious solution to my problem, that I had replaced the wrong coil.
This forum again proves that speaking to your fellow jag owners is always the best way to solve your cars problems.
