With a little bit of luck it was a kind of happy-ending.
During a 3000km trip i've hit a 20x20 piece of a truck rim. The piece was lying on a road, when a truck lifted it in an air. After that it made a contact with mine bumper, hitted a front control arm, scratched an undebody, made a hole in a rear left passenger's floor, demolished a jack support, hacked a rear left hub carrier and, after that hitted a muffler.
The XJ was still able to made a final 200km on a way home.
What a tough car.

Default Glad you are safe

Wow, could have been a very different outcome.
Glad to know that your Jaguar protected you so well.

That was a close call.

Good to hear there were no injuries and you made it home OK.

....And another reason to choose Jaguar. I had a co-worker relay a story of how his dad's life was saved by his X300 in a head-on collision as 60mph.

Jags are a very safe cars. I've saw a lot of heavy damaged cars(Even aluminuim ones) without any injurys for a passengers.

Thanks so much. I've already found a used hub, new bearings (again, huh. I've already replaced them this winter), turn signal, repaired a side marker and will weld the floor and jack support later next week. While the XJ is immobilzed i'm driving mine second Jag - a 2004 3.0 S-type. Well, an XJ is much more comfortable.

There was no footage Mine dashcam have memory only for a 20-30 minutes, so it was overwritten. I was overhalmed by luck and forgot to protect a particular recording
