hi i have a 1990 xj40 sovereign 4.0 ltre straight 6, i have an issue with the immobiliser, it starts and runs fine, but when ignition is switched off the immobiliser kicks in it clicks and lights up the dash and back lights.. this is realkly confusing and i need to get it sorted, we have no key fob for the car, is there a fuse or relay we could remove or replace

 

Might have better luck in the appropriate forum for that model, this is the X308 XJ8/XJR section, won't be quite the same.
