Default Installing the clock?

Hello everyone! So, In my Jag, my clock is completely dead and won't keep up with the time. After some thought, I bought a functioning XJ8 clock off of ebay. Now, I have no clue how to install it. It comes with the bezel on the outside with the + and - settings for the clock. Is there a way to take just the clock out of that bezel then taking the old clock out, then installing the new one? Thanks!

If you have the JTIS 21 DVD, the R&R procedure is explained pretty thoroughly. Work slowly and carefully. I've just replaced the clock in my2000 XJ8L with an E-BAY special and I can tell the time while driving again. And one tip, the JTIS tells you to discard the fasteners that hold the fascia panel in place, but they can be reused if carefully removed.
Hope this helps.

Good Luck

Thanks for the tip! Got the clock in the mail today, unfortunately I don't trust myself removing the dash panels, so tomorrow I'm going to see if I can have my mechanic who knows a "Jaguar person" take a look and install it for a good price. Thanks!

Hi Pilotman.

This isba fairly easy job to do yourself. See video below for instructions, and remember to disconnect negative battery pole.

As a tip you better take off the clips that will most likely stay on the panels when removing them. Gently remove them ,expand a little and put them back on to the instrument panels. You will get a better fit and reduce possibilities for rattle sounds.

Hello everyone! Here's a small update on the clock. I had it installed my a mechanic ( I simply did not want to mess or break anything ); now the clock works! It keeps up with the time; just like new! Yay!

However; I did have to pay $70.00 USD which was a bit high, but as long as nothing broke, or anything else was messed with, I'm fine with it. Thanks for reading!
