Default Interior care

Looking for advice on the best products to care for non leather interior parts, such as the top of the dashboard.

It completely revived some old plastic interior parts in my trusty 1989 Toyota van

I used it on an old Mazda left a slick film everywhere, but it is indeed a slept on vice in the detailing game for sure.

Hello Fred...I use Maguiars for just about everything.
But for the dash top and other non leather surfaces, I have found
that Polyglaze Dash and Trim Reviver is excellant and doesn't leave that horrible, shiny, greasy look like some other types.
Also works brilliantly on tyres and under bonnet/hood areas ;o)

I use Aero 303 on plastics and vinyl. Works great.

As some of you know, I owned two full service car wash facilities, with detail shops for over a decade. So from experience,........ANY "plastic and vinyl" conditioner WILL evaporate on the inside of the windshield, and leave a bad greasy film. MOST plastic conditioners are water based. With heat coming through the windshield, water evaporates.

Leather conditioners are mostly oil based, and if applied SPARINGLY, WILL condition plastic too (some are even formulated to treat and condition both, leather AND plastic). Once the conditioner is applied, let is soak in for few minutes, and WIPE IT OFF the best you can (with dry towels, without using any liquids). You still might get some evaporation on the glass, but WAY less than with water based plastic treatment.

I use "Leather New" on everything. It's a product sold in horse tack stores (I use it on my saddles, jackets, briefcases, wife's purses........), and it is formulated to be used on variety of materials. Still,.......the dash needs to be wipped almost dry, after few minutes, or you'll have a hell of a time cleaning the inside of the windshield.
