Default Interior "Chime" not working

Hello to all;

I have had this issue off and on now for a while.
I want to see if I can fix it.

The "Chime" in the interior works only when it wants to>

For example
The "Chime" when you leave the headlights on.
The "click/click" of the turn signals.
ETC........

I never knew they worked until the other day when all of a sudden they started working. I was really happy at that fact.

Now, it's back to where it was before with NO sounds whatsoever.

Where is this controlled from?
I've been trying to find out and have been having no luck, hence my post here.

The problem comes and goes.

Also, does anyone have a drawing of how the seat heaters work?
Mine have NEVER worked, so I'd like to inquire on how to fix this too.

You've probably got a loose contact to the speaker. The speaker is mounted next to the lock in the steering column.

Go to jagrepair.com and download the wiring diagram for your car, it will help you immensely.

I personally haven't seen a loose connection at the steering column speaker in all the ones I investigated, but hey, there's a first if you did find one. More than likely though you have an open in the speaker coil windings. Intermittently the broken wire reconnects depending on temperature and vibrations most likely. Get another replacement speaker and I'm sure it'll be fine again.

Just ordered a new speaker.
I'm sure that is what it is.
