Default Issue with two piece Milan BBS rims 2001 XJR R1 Spec

hi i have the 2001 XJR R1 Spec with the two piece Milan BBS rims...does anyone know if the rims need special attention as they are two pieces...is it possible that some of the vibration i feel at certain speeds be related to the rims needed to be adjusted, like spokes in a bicycle tire? the rims do have about 24 screws on them that could loosen over time...anyone have any experience with this one?

I've taken a similar set to pieces for refurb. The studs are spline bit titanium. They're threadlocked to death. Not easy to remove. It's doubtful they're loose.

More likely they need pro balancing....I could feel a slight wobble at around 50mph, this cleared once past that speed. A couple of wheel weights installed and all is smooth.

Default Road force balance!

Find a place that has a Hunter Road Force Balance machine. These cars need a very accurate balancing job. I took mine to two different tire places for balancing until I finally bit the bullet and paid $25 each to have the local Goodyear store do a road force balance on them. Very pleased with the results.

You can locate one here: Hunter GSP9700 Wheel vibration Control System solves wheel vibration and tire pull problems that balancers and aligners can't fix

My two rear rims were bent and they were able to take out almost all of the vibration. Your rims could be bent too.
