Default S-Type owner with a broken heart :-(

Dear All, a quick question, I need to replace my rims urgently. I have 245/40/18 front and 275/40/18 rear (XK's) Wrong wheels. Im trying really hard to find a replacements, Ebay etc. Can I fit 16" or 17" rims on?, as this is what is apparently causing my continuous Limp Home mode.

I just want to get the original spec wheels back on. I have a 2002 3L V6 Sport Petrol Auto. Any help will be appreciated.

From my short time with the S Types, the 16" were standard on the SE down here.

The 17" were on the Sport and Luxury, which started with te X202 (2002.5 MY).

The R, not sure.

Some of the guys in the UK use a company called "Grubloggers" or similar, they will chime in when the planets realign.

A lot were posted in those other threads.

Just call someone already suggested, tell them your car model etc, and buy ones they guarantee are right.

I think it was mentioned in one of the threads that the tire sizes you have were not correct for an XK either.

Is it the wrong size wheels, or wrong size tyres that cause problems?

Wrong wheels (US say rims). When you get the right ones you will need new tyres as well I expect.

You will need ones suited to your era car, with correct PCD, offset etc. I can only refer once again to all the replies you've already had.
