Hi Everyone.

I understand that the 2006 Range Rover 4.4L isa Jaguar engine. If so, would it bepossible to swap the short block into my 2002 XJ8 with the RR 4.4 using the Jaguar heads, intake manifold and accessories?

It seems like it would be a nice upgrade in power and torque over my 4L.Thoughts....

Thanks,

Kevin

Perhaps i'm wrong, but I thought the 4.4l landrover was basically the 4.2 jag motor not the 4.0l so the locations would be different not? I'm no tech so i've no clue! I am very curious to see how this works out though!

The Rover 4.4 motor is a BMW engine. After the 4.4, Rover shares the 4.2 engine with Jaguar. Sorry, but can't swap the blocks. They are totally different engines.

no no the rover 06 and up are both jaguar motors: the reg HSE uses a NA 4.4 which is the 4.2 enlarged for a slight bit of power....on the Supercharged its just the normal 4.2 supercharged dropped in

2003-2005 RR HSE 4.4 is a BMW sourced v8
