Stability Control and limp home

Need help with the Stability Control message. It flashes and throws the car into limp home. Car has been scoped and comes up clean. The first time it happened, the brakes went all "gravelly" and the message flashed. It went into limp home.
Second time, it was raining and did the same thing. Third time, I was doing alot of starting and stopping plus it was raining and went into limp home.Started it up and it started in limp home. Had to have it towed.
Mechanic checked the brakes. Checked everything.
Some have said to check battery. I did. It's spotless. If I disconnect it will it "hard boot?"
I'm so frustrated! BAD kitty!!!

UPDATE: Another message. I'm trying to give as much info as I can. I need help with the Stability Control message. Stability Controlflashes and Failsafe Engine Mode flashes and throws the car into limp home. Car has been scoped and comes up clean. The first time it happened, the brakes went all "gravelly" and the message flashed. No rain, no hard brake, no soft terrain. I just braked for a left hand turn. Bam...it went into limp home.
Second time, it was raining and did the same thing. Sat overnight and re-set. Third time, I was doing alot of starting and stopping plus it was raining and went into limp home.Shut it off. Took out the key. Waited a few minutes. It started up in Failsafe engine mode/limp home. Did this several times. Had to have it towed.
Mechanic checked the brakes. Checked everything. Scoped it twice.
Some have said to check battery. I did. It's spotless. If I disconnect it will it "hard boot?" Another said throttle is dirty.
