help can any one asnwer this ,how do you reprogram key fob after renewing batterys key open doors and starts car so not stuck
car is 1998 soveriegn thanks in advance

 

Hi x300man,

Put the key in the ignition in the off position, pull and keep held the dictator stalk, whilst keeping held, turn the ignition to Acc, not fully on.
Let go off the stalk, flash 4 or 5 times ( ie pull the indicator stalk towards you and release x5).
It should make a beep (the car).
Press any button on the fob to be programmed. Assuming you have more than one then press each fob one after the other. If not just press any button on the one fob 5 times. Car should beep again.
Give that a go.
Some people recommend keeping the drivers door open during this. No idea if it is necessary but it's no hassle to do. Unless its raining.
