does any one know how you program key fob after replacing batterys as "thicko" me that is , having problem doing so, thanks in advance all

 

unlock car. hold indicator stalk in flash to pass mode. turn ignition key to position 1, flash headlamps 4 times. press lock button on remote 5 times[or if more than 1 remote 2 times on one 3 times on other, so total presses add up to 5] . turn off ignition take out key. shut door try the remote. may take a couple of goes it did on my 98 xjr. if this do not work try the same but with the drivers door open.

 

just tried that ,but no joy so wondering if fob is "tired" but will keep trying thanks any way

 

have tried suggestions given to me ,but to no avail now at a loss using key to open and close car is not a problem and it starts ok could fob be worn out?

 

Obviously try a new battery in the fob (I now see you've done that already)
You have to follow the 'How To' instructions precisely regarding the driver's door or it won't work.
BTW I've merged your two threads - having two on the go is unproductive for you.

 

just noticed your name, have you got x308 or x300 as the process is different
