I have a 1998 XJ8 and I was curious if there is a way to take a new 2004-05 XJ8 keyfob (switchblade) and have it cut to my jag. Also would it be possible to get the remote part to function with my older jag?

 

I think many of us have that "want" but so far no one had successfully done that. .

as far as I know, the radio frequence is different

nothing is impossible but they are 2 very different systems

I wish to have the fob too

Sean, with respect and sorry If I am repeating some of the topic

in North America, our remote runs differ frequency than the Euro counterpart and one more thing I know is that Jaguar changed the remote on X308 after 2000MY (personal experience)

I am not sure if we in NA can do the same as the person who did
