Default Keyless entry/alarm acting all stupid

At times I get out of my car and hit the lock button on my remote, and it locks, and chirps no fuss no muss. Now at times I do so and the alarm just goes off. Other times, before I even hit the lock button the alarm goes off just by shutting the door. Finally, the doors often unlock right after I lock them with the remote and wont let me lock the car. Lucas ghost, lol? Any ideas?

Check the little flap that shuts over the ignition key slot closes fully, the computers think the key is in the switch if it is not fully closed.

A little squirt of WD 40 or similar usually frees it up.

Awesome, thanks! That's something I never would have thought to do.

Would white lithium grease be good for this or is that too thick?
