Keyless programming

Ok, to keep it short: I have a 2003 XJ8. Right rear tail light was on one morning. After trouble shooting (extensive), I find out that the Module in the trunk (sorry Boot) is defective. A new one costs over $500+tax. So I get one from junkyard from a 2000 XJ8. Problem is fixed, BUT, my remote keyless entry devicesno longer work. Any know the code and sequence of events to reprogram my keyless remote?The 2003programming does not work. Help. I can also be emailed at charles.c@hermes.uk.com.

And I am assuming you disconnected your battery to reset your computer after installing the new "box" in the trunk

The module in the trunk is the security locking module. Operates rear lamps and the keyless entry. If you noticed, when you replaced it, you had to disconnect a coax cable from it. That is the antenna wire for the remotes.
