Between those modules are 2 main wires for the immobilizer. Does KTM tell to the ECM it is ok to start? Or does Ecm ask from KTM is the key ok ? one x100(yeah diferent frorum, but system is same in x308) doesn't spin starter and there is no signal at all between ecm and ktm in ok to start wire and battery voltage or close to it in security acknowledge wire. I used oscilloscope.

 

Any codes? Key transponder has to report Okay for ECU to respond.

 

KTM and BPM are always synced. key good = starter turns

ECM and KTM must be manually synced when either are replaced. you get a crank no start and a p1260 if not

 

P1260 is what ids gives. Car owner found out somewhere factory information where it states that ktm sends the key signal onwards and ecm listens it. In this case where key is clearly read and nothing is sent to ecm except noise ktm must be then knackered. I was not able to program keys again to ktm. Ids did not have connection to the ktm. I don't know is it because Chinese mongoose or is it just bad ktm. Ids is v131.
Car has two keys and neither starts the car.

Owner bought set of ecm, ktm, a key and door and trunck locks of working car. Lets see what happens with them.

 

That could get VERY frustrating. My sympathy for that poor owner and I hope
the new set of parts fixes it..
