Welcome to the forums Allen,
I've moved your question from General Tech Help to X308 forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.
Please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some information about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.

Welcome Allen, first off you'll want to bookmark this site.... JagRepair.com - Jaguar Repair Information Resource
Then in the Site Search you can look up many things. In this case you'll want this more than likely... http://www.jagrepair.com/images/Auto.../jagxj1998.pdf ...you can download this also.
On Pg 54, figure 9.1 is the exterior lighting layout. I would look to find a commonality...I would highly recommend checking your grounds initially for corrosion and/or broken strap lug.
Everything is printable in that pdf.
At the top of every forum are Stickies for issues like TSB's, common problems and How To's. I have a link for 2 of those in my signature. There's also the JTIS download, which you may find favorable, if being as old as it is, if it will work with your computer.
