Hi,

today I tried to install the auxiliary power socket inside the glovebox. But I cannot find the location of the needed plug on an LHD 2000 XJ8. Regarding the installation manual, it must be somewhere behind the glove box. I have only found a white one pin plug. But no 3 pin plug like the one needed for the original cable provided with the C2A1403 set.

Has anyone a hint where behind the glove box the plug is located in an X308 XJ?

I'm still wondering where the connector is or if it is missing completely.

Has anybody fitted the C2A1403 extension to an XJ8?

I finally found the port. According to the factory wiring diagram, it is under the RH heelboard. This does not fit the instructions contained in the package which are for XJ > '98.

 

The instructions are for later models. 1998 wiring diagram states "RH heelboard", 2001 states "RH A post". The change was done at some point between the mentioned years.
