Exclamation MAF Wiring Harness Melted

So I'm in Japan and have my 1999 XJR back in the California being cared for by a friend. Well said friend must of leaned on a cracked the plastic hose that goes from the engine back to the air intake (I did this within the first 3 months of having the car myself) and it ended up melting the wires and connector that plugs into the MAF.

Looks like I need to buy a new connector,... Just looking for ideas and anyone who maybe went through something similar.

And buy some 3/4" hose, cut off both ends of that full load breather hose and put them on each end of the 3/4" hose of the same length as that plastic crap and you won't have this problem again.

I actually did this when it first happened to me as alluded to previously since I needed it replaced immediately until the OEM part arrived. The spare part was still in the trunk, but my buddy decided duck tape was better,... smh.

I've ordered this MAF connector. I assume it will need to be spliced in or is it long enough to plug and play?

Thank you!
