I am having the gaskets replaced on the manifold by a mechanic, however the mechanic is saying he can't get this part called the "Lower Plenum Gasket." I have found a place called partsgeek.com and they seem to have a lot of parts but not this one. The mechanic can't give me a part number for some reason.
Here is the picture he gave me:
Lower Plenum Gasket
Any idea what this part number is and where I can find it?
Okay, is it from an X308 or X350? Are all 4 headlights the same size or are the inner ones smaller than the outer ones? Reason why: the last X308 and first X350 were made (full model change happend that year) ...
Reason I am asking, the gasket doesn't look like one that is fitted to a normal X308 V8. Plenum is supposed to be for the intake manifold, correct? If so, they are oval with a little round addition on one ot the elongated sides. Otherwise there aren't any plenum gaskets apart from the elbow to intake gasket.
Thanks for the reply.
I made a mistake, it's a 2004, I changed my post above. The inner headlights are smaller than the outside. I just spoke with the mechanic and he said this part is something that the dealer will only sell with the entire manifold. He doesn't know what the part number is. So I think the term lower plenum gasket is wrong as well. Any idea what it is called or if there is a part number?
