Default Mesh Grille Alternatives for XJ8 308

I want to upgrade my upper front grille to a mesh type.

I would enjoys some comments from various members regarding the quality, manufacturer, fit, etc.

I would like a highly polished finish and will maintain the original chrome surround.

I have noticed a few pictures where you can see the rubber surround of the grille once it's installed. Is this common with all?

Is it better to hold out for a pair of OEM's? The Welsh and Mina Gallery offerings look nice but a few posts were noted (more with other years and models) that said that fit and installation were difficult (namely, trimming had to be performed). I also noted that some grilles have a tab vs. a "thru the grille" mounting system.

Thanks.

I have installed Mina on my VDP 3 yrs. ago and I had no fitment issues. I just replaced the rubber surround this past month. The rubber surround is also on the oem grilles.

Did your grille have special tabs to mount to the frame? Or just little area of the grille that stuck down?

I have asked Mina to send me a couple of pictures of the grille NOT installed on a car.

On the Welsh site the rubber surround is very visible. Is this the way the OEM looked? Does the Mina look what way when installed? Is the finish as "mirror" as they say?

Thanks.
