Default Motor life expectency for a 2000 XJR

Anyone have an average life expectency on how long these motors last??

A Simple answer would be: Any motor will last as long as you make it-through good maintenance and preventive maintenance. I have met someone here in GB who's 98 XJ8 has just touched 300,000 miles and is still going well. Just make sure you keep on top of things like the oil and plugs. Also the auto transmission fluid should be changed at 60,000 miles or so intervals (even though the book says sealed for life).

I would think that the steel lined Jaguar V8 should have a similar life to other modern engines -- The current thinking being the economic value is reached at 250k.
