necessary service by mileage of X 308 model
hello everyone. my name is george. i live in republic of georgia and i am a big fan of old fashioned (or better to say properly fashioned) jaguar cars. especially XJ models. so i decided to buy one, but before doing that i have to read and read tons of articles, posts and etc. to get a general idea of owning a big cat. a problem #1 is a service, so knowing what to do and when is a solution. i have read here many things, fixing of this, converting of that, but i would be just super grateful to a person who would provide a maximally complete TO-DO-LIST (CHECK LIST) of actions that is needed to car. example : every 10 000 miles (or KM) check this, replace that, tune this and so on. so one can hang a whiteboard in his garage and just follow that list. i have never owned a jag before and that is why i am asking this (maybe i missed the post that already answers my question). the car that i am looking for is a 2003 X308 XJR with low miles and good condition.so guys please help me out. buying such a car here is almost suicidal. jag service in close to zero, parts are difficult to get, so probably i will have to order from abroad. maybe UK or europe. so i am looking for a support and good advisers. i promise, i will be a good apprentice
sincerely George from Georgia
p.s. now i drive peugeot 406. great car but it's a work horse. jag will help to keep all the burden outside it's doors and help me to still my soul...

Look at the "Sticky" with the title "XJ8 / XJR How-To Quick Links," scroll down until you see what you're looking for. There's a maintenance schedule in two parts, here's part 1, I don't know if this is what you're looking for or not, but there's a ton of information in that thread.
thank you sir. as it is said, it is better to have 100 friends than to have 100 bucks
that is what i wanted. i will continue that research to prepare on that new purchase. thanks again
