I've read and re-read every brake thread concerning bigger brakes on a XJ8. I've been doing some searches and just need to verify if the front brake calipers and rotors from a 2000 XJR with the 325mm brakes will bolt on my 1998 XJ8 without any modification. I also plain to go with 17" wheels which should clear the larger brakes in the front.

I think you may need to go to 18" wheels to clear the calipers. My 1999 XJR has barely a finger's width between the caliper and the inside of the wheel. I know because I clean inside the wheels from time to time and my knuckle gets caught. FWIW.

 

My 2001 VDP S/C has the bigger brakes and has 17" wheels
