I bought a long sought after color combo Vanden Plas in blue zircon over ivory :0)

The valve cover gaskets are both leaking a small amount and I want to replace them.
I had ordered a set off the internet engineparts.com, but they did not fit correctly

Can anyone please give me a source of where I can buy a set of correct ones online?

The dealer has a set for $350, but I think that is a bit high.

 

 

I think you have the right cam cover gasket on the left cover??

 

FEL-PRO VS50724R {#VS50397} makes a set I use when I order from my local parts store. or (Rock Auto $17.53+shipping)

MAHLE (VS50397) makes a set that looks like the FEL-PRO but at about 3x's the price. or (Rock Auto $51.99+shipping)

Ealier engines have spark plug seals and center seals connected. Note: this is depending on engine production date, not VIN!
Engines with VVT need the additional valve seal (part 9)
Also note some sets do not include the center seals-

According to your pictures you need the gasket with seperate rings and the valve seal.

I just ordered my gaskets LH + RH from berkshire jag components.
AJ88285KIT-XJ8 (gasket + sparkplug rings) & 4x AJ87242-XJ8 (center seal) for 47,98 GBP (XJR does not have the VVT seal).
Dont know is they do shipment to US

 

I tried both, they both did not fit either valve cover. But yes, it did fit closer on the other valve cover, but not close enough.
