What pads did you install? I installed Mintex and mine are squeaking horribly. I finally contacted the US Mintex rep who is now trying to locate some shims for me.

Did you use anti-squeal product on them when you installed them?

Use both the anti-squeek product and while you have the pads off, take a file and bevel the leading and trailing edges of the pads. It doesn't take much to get rid of the finger nails on the chalkboard sound. Some pads come that way from the manufacturer. The big truck hydraulic disk pads come that way from some manufacturers.

If I'm not mistaken, I have been using Permatex Disc Brake Quiet. It goes on the caliper at the surface where it mates with the pad. This keeps the pads from moving and causing a squeal / squeak.
