Default New paint color choice

Hi All, I'm looking at color choices to paint my XJR, current color is Platinum (Silver)

I was at Barrett-Jackson and saw an Eleanor Mustang, color is Pepper Grey
has anyone done this or a similar color?
Comments please..

Why do you want to change the color? Reason I ask is that 1) it will not add, and in many cases will detract from the resale value and 2) proper paint job, where the car is completely detrimmed and painted, including jambs and underside of panels will run you at least $5000. Anything less than that and I'd worry about the quality or the short cuts that would be taken. It is a large car with many flat surfaces that will easily show any imperfections in paint. If none of the above is a factor, then I agree on the color choice - it will look killer with a charcoal interior and since you'll be far removed from the originality I'd look at some cool wheel/tire and suspension set-up.

I kinda have been tossing around the idea of black wheels with chrome outer rims and with different front/rear offset. I will, of course, retain my "asteroids".

Don't do it. I agree with TF.

On the other hand... if you bought ANOTHER one (same color), and decided to paint your current one a different color (it DOES have some high miles) that would fly.

Hey, Big D. Looks like Titanium Metallic, a factory offered color. It's very cool.

Thanks guys, I will start looking for a car in that color.
TF I will NEVER sell this car. so changing color is no big problem.
When I lived in CA I was quoted $10K-$12K for a full repaint, In AZ a full repint will be around $5K. My hood, roof & trunk are shot so a paint job has always been on the cards.
I'm now able to start looking at colors. I think the Titanium Metallic is darker than I want, The Pepper grey is a lighter color. I already have aftermarket wheels and would have them painted to match. New headliner in a darker color, and tinted windows.
I am thinking of buying another Silver XJR and was going to use it for parts, but Dsnyder might want to buy it from me. nudge. nudge. wink. wink.

Looks a lot like my quartz 2003 xjr. Great color choice in my opinion.

Hi 2003XJR,
I will look for a car in your color. I think the gunmetal colors are good on long cars
