No Timing Mark
I'm in the process of replacing all of the timing chain components on my XJR, but I have run into a problem. I cannot find the triangular marking on my flex plate.
Is it possible that the Mercedes sourced trans did not have the mark?

In the blackonxy timing chain procedure (I got it from the reference section on this forum) there is a diagram, I think pulled from JTIS, which shows a triangular timing mark. I too was confussed by this and rotated the engine several times looging for it thinking I had missed it.
Thankfully I found this thread and Sean's picture showing the single "rounded" timing slot.
One additional question though. Should the locking pin be tight in the slot ? My tool from the Laser 5147 kit seems less than tight once its in the CPS hole. I reckon I could rotate the flywheel a couple of millimeters either way with it locked. Is this good enough ?
The laser tool is a round peg with three flats machined on the end peg that engages with the slot.
