As a new owner of the 98VDP with a bad OCD (me not the cat!), I have a suggestion. Please hear me out.

I read EVERYTHING on this forum (and the web in general) about X308 models (supercharged or not), and I am learning. It would be much easier for me (and I assume many others), if the owners with problems report back every time the advice/opinion is given, and the solution is found. Many do, and many more don't. I think it's kinda low to come on this forum, tap into its HUGE resources, get the right advice from the knowledgeable and helpfull people, fix the problem, and not show up again until the car has another problem.

This is not directed toward anyone in particular, but if you read back (many, many pages back), you will find many people that posted one or two times, and never came back to share the solution. Once they had their answer, they were not interested any more. Selfish.

So please,.....if you have a problem, get the advice (even if it's wrong!), come back and tell the forum what was the disposition. It will help everybody to diagnose similar problems, and take care of these great vehicles.

You're right that many don't come back to report success or failure, that's only human nature, but many others do take the time, trouble and effort to post a result. I've been on a number of forums and this one has a membership where help and advice is of very high quality.

The Mod team add 'RESOLVED' to thread titles where we see the OP has completed a fix to make the threads more useful to others searching for similar issues.

I'd like to make an additional request to members to help with this. If you see a thread where a solution has been posted and we haven't added 'RESOLVED' to the title, please PM any of the Mods and we can do the edit.

I totally agreed, this happens on EVERY forums. Just like GGG said, human natural. Does it make it right, no, but that how it is.
