Hi everyone, I have a strange issue that I haven't seen anyone else post about. My odometer flickers when stopped and the car is idling. I only noticed it when it was dark and I had the lights on. I'm thinking maybe a loose ground but it's only happening at idle and nowhere else in the rev range. Thoughts?

 

You have 2 umbilical connectors going to the dash. Its possible either could not be clamped down completely.
Then there's the dreaded thought of the a charging issue. Check your battery and check the cables to it. If there is any corrosion, replace the cable, you won't get the corrosion out. Check your grounds, especially the lanyard one coming off the ground terminal, they can go bad.
If nothing is found, I'd get a test on the alternator.
