Default OEM pinstripe specs inquiry,

Looking to replace the factory pin stripe & was curious as to the width, style etc. Color is HGD on SDZ the remainder of what's visible appears to be just a basic beige ?! The way it's worn off, looks to have been paint, hmm.

Thanks

I have read several times that pinstripes were applied by the dealers, not the factory.

There's a video of a factory tour kicking round on the internet and the striping being applied by hand. Maybe contact Jaguar about the paint code?

Jaguar -- did do "in house" pin stripe. I can't tell you the years/ models ... my 95 VDP was special ordered and had a pinstripe. Believe they did most of the XJS's

My XJR did not .. the special order program was over by then. It died around the same time as Connelly.

It was a common dealer applied item. The stripe for the Euro market was thicker.

I had a local guy do mine .. dead now.

This may help. It is accurate as far as possible. Note most coach stripes are tape as the part numbers show.

It lists side moldings for the 95 VDP ... The VDP came with chrome above the regular moulding .... My 98 had them .... not sure what they refer.

my 95 was painted .. ??
