I gotta tune this thing up before I leave town for the holiday and want to change oil and plugs and filter.
I'm looking for oil weight and type (syn or not)
also does it need plat plugs (i usually use them in everything) Any brand you guys prefer over another?

Come on you all. I know some of you tune up your own cat, what do you use?

 

I asked about spark plugs under XK8 & XKR and got no answer either. I guess no one has any plug recommendations!

 

I pulled one of mine yesturday to see if they needed to be replaced and there is ngk in it. I figure NGK Plat or Iridium or Bosch +2 will be the best for it.
I just wondering what kind of oil now.
I'm sure not all these Jag owners are rich enough to take the cat to the ******* everytime it needs an oil change, or maybe I'm the only broke one here.

 

NGK were the original plugs. I was looking specifically for the NGK Iridium plugs. The NGK site does not list any for an 01 XKR, but do list them for an 01 XJR. I am assuming they should be the same.
