Well,......what would you do?

As I said in the previous post, a guy (out of the blue) wants to buy my VDP. My Cat is in the MINT condition. And by "mint", I mean to the standard of the severely OCDd retired military officer. If you know what I mean?

So, I "booked" the Cat today with KBB, and she is worth (in excellent condition) with 87K on the clock, $6720.-

The buyer is offering $7500.- (to ME, she's worth a LOT more!), and I have a lead on 99 KX8 (ragtop), in mint condition for $4800.- with 126K

I'm not a ragtop guy, but I could give it to wifey (she likes rags!), and drive her 2003 XJ8 plain Jane.

The question is: Play, or no play?

 

With that many miles on the XK8 the transmission, secondary tensioners, top hydraulic hoses would be a concern, or are they replaced/repaired already?
Your VDP sounds like it is too nice to part with.

 

No info on that yet. Didn't contact the seller of the XK yet, but I figured no matter how nice it is, I'll "have to" put at least a grand in it to bring it up to my standards.

you always said you didnt like the color, anyway i say sell your car, grab the Plain Jane fix it up like the VDP, and fix up the XK8 just to keep yourself occupied
