Default Oversized Valve shims

Anyone know where I can source oversized valve shims?

I need a couple that are around .112-.117

Alternatively ANY ideas short of R&Ring the head?

Of course, the deeper you lap or grind the valves or seats, the less shim you need. I will check the ones I have, but I am thinking 2.4 mm is about the largest I have.

I just don't want to spend the time pulling the head, but if I cannot find the oversized shims it will be my only option.

Jaguar list shims individually from 2.18mm to 2.90mm in 74 incremental thicknesses.

If you only need a couple at around $15 each ( ), it has to be a better option than a tear down.

That would bring one within .003 and the other would be spot on. Hmm. Maybe that would work..... It would certainly be quieter at least.

Anyone made their own valve bucket tool?

Picked up a couple of the largest they had at the dealer- 2.90mm and it quieted down ALOT. It's now bearable to drive and should be for the foreseeable future.

Thanks!
