Hello Guys,
I am getting a p1121 code on my 1999 XJ8 with 130000 miles which in return puts my car in limp mode and dash displays gear box fault. I have done the following in attempt to fix the issue with no success.
· Cleaned Throttle Body.
· Adjusted Throttle Cable
· Replaced Battery
· Inspected all connections to throttle body
The only thing that I can find online that I have not tried is to replace throttle body. If this needs to happen that is fine but would like so advise before making the purchase. Please provide any other suggestions or things I should investigate. Recommendation for a good place to purchase a throttle Body would be great appreciated also. Thanks for the help.

I had my 2001 XJ8 throttle body rebuilt by ASI in Tenn last month ($325.99).
They are having a special 11 hours price reduction on Ebay for $260.79 (rebuild service):
Ebay item# 110890089433 - Look at the photo of the throttle body on the listing to make sure yours is the same as the photo.

Many other forum members have also had theirs rebuilt there.
