Hi Peeps,

Steven C My reverse parking sensors don't seem to be working...

I was occasionally getting a solid bleep noise when I selected reverse gear...So I checked out the sensors and only two of them were vibrating. I replaced the two that weren't now all 4 vibrate but no noise now…....could it be the module? If so can anyone tell me were its located in the car....


Any info will be much appreciated

Sorry, forgot to say its a 2002 XJ8 SE

 

The module is in the trunk fusebox, you can see the wiring coming from the sensors, going thru the floor into the car's luggage compartment, and connecting to the module. Same car and year, one connector to the sensor was loose and broken. Take all the sensors out if you are handy (2 bolts above the exhaust tips are fixing the rear bumper to the chassis), and check which one makes a click. You need good clean to the contacts.
