Hi my wife just noticed the passenger side wing mirror on my 2001 XJR v8 4.0 s seems to have a bronze like tarnish or tint to it. I never noticed it before and the drivers side is totally clean.
I’m thinking if this has somehow deteriorated?
gas anyone else seen this?
would it fail the MOT test (UK)

 

That particular mirror is electrochromic and most probably came with it when a new car, it has the same dimming feature as the rear view mirror. Hellish expensive, £100+ compared to regular heated. Very unlikely to fail an MOT on a factory feature.
