Default loose passenger mirror

My rhd xk8 has a loose mirror on passenger side it seems like it has been forced to close and can now move very easily back and forwards, can y anyone advise how to tighten it up

It is hard to say without opening up the mirror... It could have broken something fixable or it may have just destroyed the rotation base... The internals don't come separate from the dealer, so the best bet is to get a used one and swap over the cover from yours...

If you have fold back mirrors then that one was unlocked when hit. Hold both mirror switch at the same to to fold mirrors and then that one will relock

Thanks guys,

I had a closder look todat and it seems the casing is cracked, I have managed to secure it with a rubber grommet for the moment, will take a good look next week
