Default Passengers door does not open externally

Hi.
The door opens from the inside. I’ve removed the door card, but I’m not sure what to look for. I’ve taken a video that hopefully you lot can identify something.

It looks like the door handle itself is functional. The operating rod is moving, so the problem has to be further in the mechanism.
Check if that operating rod is actually attached to the door lock actuator. If it's not, that's your problem.
If it is connected, the rod may be out of adjustment. Try disconnecting the rod and moving the actuator manually. If that does the trick, adjust the rod to be longer.
If that does not open the door, you're probably looking at a broken door lock actuator. That being said, I'm far from an expert so take my words with a grain of salt.

Check to make sure this piece is connected to the actuator.

The rod should be connected to the trailer hitch-looking piece on the actuator here.

I believe you can rotate this piece to adjust rod length if necessary.

Hope this helps, update us if you have any more questions and if you get it fixed!

thanks for the detailed response. I did feel the base of the road and it was connected to the actuator so perhaps I’ll need a new one.

I should also add that this particular door doesn’t open with the remote control, too.

I’ll tackle this problem once I muster the motivation to do so.
