Fair enough, I trust you lot more than the software. On a positive note I did get the radio code from a local dealer today so I can at least listen to her old cassette tapes again. Shirley Bassey and Fawlty Towers here we come.

Ok so I always hate it when I read these threads and there is no outcome.

£65 worth of Ebay throttle body and it's fixed, it was as you said the TPS, maybe the hall effect ones don't fail often but this one had done. It was reading but giving outputs about 1v apart, the replacement is almost bang on the same all the way through the range on both tracks. It's idling at 600 now and after a few restarts and code clears no more stability and traction errors and all engine codes now gone. Interestingly there was a security module error and a adaptive damper code previously as well but I chose not to worry about them at the time. They have now gone too.

Still have amber and red lights but I haven't moved the car yet so suspect they will go when it's done a few yards? All I have is a single gearbox 1745 Low clutch timing solenoid circuit malfunction to deal with so certainly heading in the right direction.
Idle is a little rough but I had closed up the plug gaps initially before I read they should be bigger to smooth out the idle so will try that or a new set.

Sounds like a big step forwards there.

I guess I would drive it around the block to test the fix.
