Default Problems to fit Quaife LSD to XJR

My 1999 XJR is at the garage for Quaife LSD change and the rear axle is down and open now. They called me and told that they can not fit it to the car because of numbers of teet ( 25 in the XJR drive shaft and 19 in the Quaife ) and also cheep bearings are different size...

QDF1W - Quaife Engineering
XJRs do not have the 4HA axle? Before I ordered I asked from Quaife if their product fits to my car and they said that it does if the axle is 4HA. What's the wrong with this case? I know some others have installed Quaife LSD to their X308 XJRs. Really strange situation... I am also waiting for answer from Quaife...

Default Update to the situation

After some phone calls with Quaife the case opened to me. QDF1W is not the right model to the XJR. The right one is QDF5W and Quaife do not sell this product directly, just through one UK racing team. You can not also find QDF5W on the Quaife catalog. Anyway I was lucky to get connection to the right guy in this team. They have the right LSD in stock and send it to me by courier. I just need to wait a couple extra days. Of course a bit money burning, but Quaife promised to take the wrong unit back.

So, be careful if you order LSD for your XJR

Hello XJR-99 . I ordered the QDF5W from Racing Green Cars UK. The shop that is installing the differential is having problems installing it. Did the shop that installed yours have any problems? My XJR is a 2003 X308 R1. Would it being a R1 have anything to do with it?

Angry Buckhead imports install (qdf5w)

I have Buckhead Imports Performance Group installing my QDF5W and there having problems. They state the rear axles run big. Quaife USA is working with them to rectify the problem. This upgrade is proving to be pretty frustrating! I'm close to giving up and telling BIP to put the factory diff. back in. They've been working on this project for 2 weeks now!
