Default PS hose O-ring part numbers

I've been trying to find a couple part numbers for power steering hose O-rings and have not had any luck so far.

Going off the parts diagram here https://www.jaguarclassicparts.com/u...voir-and-hoses

The O-rings I'm looking for are the one between the oil cooler and rack return line (between 7 and 13), and the two that go onto the fittings in the PS rack itself (between hoses 12,13 and the rack). There's a few unillustrated parts listed on that page, XR829166, ..67, ..68. I see the ones ending in 66 and 67 have pictures for size on Terry's but I can't get at the O-rings to measure them at the moment.

Anyone happen to have those parts listed, or know which ones I need?

If you don't find the needed info, and I know this sounds cheap, but I don't know anyone else who carries them like this, but Harbor Freight has O-ring multi-packs... https://www.harborfreight.com/catalo...%2Cf&q=O-rings

Hi nilanium,

Currently I'm facing the same issue as I want to drop my front axle assembly next week. I ended up ordering two 2x O-ring XR829167 for the connection of the feed and return lines to the steering rack. According to all parts sources I researched XR829168 is only up to VIN F20... and my VIN is F23....
Concerning XR....66 I trust in the correct display at jaguarclassicparts and/or SNG Barrat (whatever "other option" mean) that this is not the right part for my car.
If you got time with this, I'll report back at the end of next week :-)

Cheers, Alexander

Sounds good! I supposed I could pull them and measure, if I wanted to get fancy with it Mcmaster has tons of choices https://www.mcmaster.com/#o-rings/=1co2hkw but it's a very slow weep so I'll hold off for now.

Sounds like a plan! I'll take some measurements..in particular if the O-Rings that I ordered won't fit.
Cheers, Alexander

Hi gents,

I'm sorry for not reporting back, but I didn't do the disassembly yet. Will get back to you next week, as I plan to start next tuesday.
Cheers, Alexander

Hi,

you'll need XR829166 for the return line connection. It's a 1.1 cm O-ring - the outer diameter of the return pipe's connector is 1.0 cm.
The feed line's O-ring has part no. XR829167 and is bigger than the one of the return line.

Cheers, Alexander
