I was replacing my heater hoses (under the manifold) because I had a pin-hole leak which was slowly draining my coolant (coolant light kept coming on).

While reconnecting various and sundry parts, I broke the Part Load Breather Hose (not hard to do since it was original and extremely brittle).

So the purpose of this post is to identify the Part Load Breather Hose Part Number for at least my 1999 Jaguar XJ8 Vanden Plas. I found the need to identify the part for others because I had a difficult time locating it online due to the various names it was being identified as (breather hose, crank case breather hose, PLB, and so on.

An internet search of the part number alone will reveal several places to purchase the Part Load Breather Hose and it costs about $30.00 (plus shipping charges).

I replaced this hose just last month. I ordered it from Motorcars LTD in Houston, Texas. Part number was NCA3951CB. Cost of the part was $19.32 plus shipping, which was $15.48 to Alabama, bringing the total cost to $34.80.
The hose was a perfect fit. I don't know if it's OEM, but it is definitely identical. I just hated shipping was almost as much as the part.

The Part Load Breather Hose is part# AJ84880 and it is $30.53 plus shipping ($13.33) on Motor Cars LTD website. It is $22.54 plus $14.95 shipping on Gaudin Jaguar Parts website.

Part# NCA3951CB is the Full Load Breather Hose - Motor Cars LTD pricing has not changed from what you paid for it ($19.32 plus $15.48 shipping) - Coventry West sells it for $17.25 plus $11.00 shipping.

My bad. You're right.....I need to pay better attention...lol. I certainly don't want to be posting erroneous info. My apologies.

 

I took the old one out, kept the ends and replaced the hose with a piece of heater hose. It looks good and feels more durable than the original. Cost: $1.80
