What is the year of your car and the background color of the Vanden Plas trunk emblem? I've seen those which were gray and others black. I'm thinking that the b/g color depends on the year.

Also, has anyone been able to polish these emblems. As you know, there's a plastic covering. Mine is "foggy."

2001, black. Yes, plastic polish works well on them.

 

Mine's black. (2001 VDP)

 

Mine is grey 2000 VDP. The '95-'97s are red I think.

 

Red or green (I think).

 

Never paid attention, but plastic polish will remove the fogginess? Cool

 

Gray background, exactly the same color as the "quartz" exterior.

I did not have plastic polish but tried rubbing-polish (basically mild rubbing compound) and it did a nice job (but not perfect) on the VDP emblem and the trunk-button, but the Jaguar emblem was only partially improved and still a bit foggy; any other ideas?
