Quick tranny question....

Default Quick tranny question....

XJ8 and XJR trannys are different, correct ? As in I cant take a trans from a 1999 XJ8 and use it in a 2000 XJR.

No, modules are different, so the 'language' used is different, it's like taking an Italian actress and sticking her in a English film, the language barrier knackers it.

The normally aspirated car has a ZF, the R has a Mercedes transmission. If you managed to put the ZF in, it'd probably be ripped to shreds.
