Sorry for the dumb question but my JTIS manual wasn't much help.

I have a 99 XJ8. Where is the radiator drain? Is there a drain on the radiator itself?

JTIS refers to a coolant drain on the engine block where a heater plug would go (if you have a block heater) but I can't seem to find it on the engine block (JTIS says it is on the left rear side). The access is pretty limited, even tried putting the car up on ramps.

Is this one of the jaguar deals where I have to take the car apart to perform a simple task? :-)

 

There is a drain plug on the lower LH side of my 2008 XJ8. Some radiators may also have a plug on the lower RH side too.

 

Yep, on my left hand drive 99 XJR, it's bottom of radiator facing the rear of the car. A little like a Wing-Nut. Finger Tight.
