Passenger side cylinders not working. I've had mechanics check and no one has any idea what is causing this. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Any Trouble Codes present? Did the engine get cleaned or wet recently?

 

What year, model ? If a whole cylinder bank is misfiring - guess what - cam chain jumped and tensioners are shot.

 

Not much other than cam timing common to one bank. Time to pull the cam covers.

It's a 2000 xj8, and only codes are "random misfire"

 

You need to pull the cam covers anyway to check and make sure the tensioners are metal...so let us know what you find.
